I’ve Missed You #MondayBlogs #Amwriting #Fiction

I told myself that I was better off without her, but who am I kidding. I can’t stop thinking about her loving eyes, her floral scent, and those sweet kisses I love so much. And, the temporary dizzy effect I’ll get when a flashback of the two of us are making love.

No one has ever made me feel the way she makes me feel. I should have known throwing up the idea of marriage so soon after dating for six months would send her running away.

I shouldn’t have ignored her when she told me she likes to take things slow. Real slow. I’m a hopeless romantic and thought if I did all the right things, it would be enough to prove how much I love and cherish her in every way. Boy, was I wrong!

“Man, you have to stop running into that damn brick wall where Kayla is concerned. She hurt you and she’s not coming back.” My brother, Thomas stated, forever giving his two cents when it’s not needed.

“You don’t know if she’s coming back. This is Kayla we’re talking about!” I spat out while busying myself by pouring some brown liquor into a glass. The liquid burned like hell down to my belly. The pain doesn’t even compare to the one in my heart.

As Thomas continued to express his dislike for Kayla, I barely heard my cell phone go off.

“Shh! It’s Kayla!” I exclaimed in a frantic. My heart knocked against my rib cage as I brushed my shaky hands down my pants legs. She’s calling now?! I screamed in my head.

“Hello?” I answered in a voice I used when I’m at the office, but a little too formal and stiff.

“Hi, Ryan. How are you?” Just hearing her soft voice was enough to cause me to plummet to the floor. Though, I held tightly onto the granite countertop as if that would be enough to calm my frazzled nerves.

“Kayla. I thought I wouldn’t ever hear from you again.”

“Yes, it has been a while. I’ve been…busy.”

“Busy, huh? You said, before you slammed the door in my face, you wanted to slow down with life, and-”

“I remembered what I’ve said to you. So much has happened and I had a difficult time putting things into perspective.” I heard a slight sigh escaped from her lips. I shook my head in bewilderment. It just keeps getting worse.

“Kay, you just don’t understand how much I love you. And, how much I missed you. Every time I think of you, I always catch my breath. I kept believing you would come back and we would get through this. I apologize for bringing up marriage so-”

“Let me stop you there, Ry. My reason for calling is there has been a change- a big change matter-of-fact- happening in my life. When you mentioned marriage, I wanted to say yes, but I just couldn’t go on deceiving you any longer.”

“So what was it?” I asked, fearing for the answer. By this time, Thomas was leaning too close to me as he waited also for the answer.

“Because I was already engaged then. I just got married three months ago. I’m so sorry.”

I dropped the phone in shock while my whole world spun around me.

A Night Of True Love and Romance #fiction #amwriting

We walked the boardwalk underneath the crescent moon in a cloudless sky after indulging in a delectable meal by candlelight. Our hands embraced, eyes locked; we felt a familiar feeling claiming us once again that has been embedded deeply into our souls. Our lips caressed.
Next, we ambled over to a group of musicians by a lighted fountain playing jazz music; a sound so melodic and captivating. We’re enthralled. Our hearts took a front row seat.

After the music ensemble has ended, we set out to watch the sunset by the seashore. Such a magical and breathtaking view to witness. Our bodies then became one. Merged souls filled with lots of love and light.

(A work of fiction. 😃)

How Do You Define Love?

pixabay.com

What is your perception of love?

Mines? Well…

Love isn’t something to toy with. Love is something that you take the time to cherish, to nourish. Something that should be felt. It’s to be appreciated not possessed, Felt not forced.

No amount of material things can buy love even though some will try. Some may even believe good looks, good sex, and/or social status can define love- or how much a person loves you. If you believe that, you are mistaken.

You should never settle for anything less than what you deserve; and,

You also shouldn’t believe if a person can spend X amount of money on you, buy you a huge ring, and/or a mansion that it equates how much they supposedly love you.

Love is selfless, kind, patient, empathetic, and understanding. Love is being there at the lowest time of a person’s life, feeling their pain and doing what you can to make it better. And also, building them up, giving them support and encouragement. And it’s being reciprocated.

Love is also looking in a mirror and seeing that person staring back at you, and saying how much you love yourself, and doing the things to show just how much. Self-love always and should come before loving another. Because how can you know what love is like when you haven’t first given it to yourself to even know what it is like.

How do you define love in your own words?

PressThis: You Deserve To Remember How It Feels To Be Loved #MondayBlogs

Good morning/afternoon/evening all! I hope everyone had enjoyed their weekend. If not, remember you are alive and that alone is a blessing and a beautiful thing.

If you are are not happy, and/or if someone is hurting you, using you, manipulating you, anything less than what you deserve, know that is not love. You deserve better than that mistreatment.

You should always know the difference between when someone loves you versus when they are using you, manipulating you, or what have you. Love can be a beautiful thing and NEVER to be confused with lust or control/manipulation.

If I had ever failed to tell you anything, remember this: to know love and receive it, one must be love. Love thyself first!

Now, on to the article! Below stated are the ways a person should received love. And one should know that he/she deserved to feel love. Imagine feeling this love from someone who loves you just as much or more than you love yourself. Set the bar high. Can they reach it? If so, you have a winner.

You deserve to wake up to beautiful messages every morning, messages that are heartfelt and genuine, messages that only someone who truly knows you can send and messages that let you know that you’re the first person on someone’s mind each and every day.

You deserve to be loved for who you are, with your flaws, with your quirks, with your imperfections and you deserve to be with someone who doesn’t make you afraid of being yourself, you deserve to be with someone who sees all the parts of you and chooses to love them and chooses to stay.

You deserve to remember how it feels to be loved and be truly cared for. You deserve to be with someone who makes you forget about every ignored message, every unanswered call and every person who couldn’t love you.

You deserve to remember everything you forgot about love, you deserve someone who doesn’t get tired of reminding you what you mean to them and what they’d do for you.

You deserve to have the love you always dreamed of, the kind of love that makes you want to be a better person, the kind of love that makes you happy and the kind of love that makes you feel safe because you got used to loving the ones who only introduced you to danger and heartbreak.

You deserve to remember how special you really are and always have been before you loved people who made you feel like you’re ordinary.

You deserve to fall in love with someone who doesn’t want to break your heart or play with it, you deserve someone who can remind you that love is not a game, that everyone who ever played you was the real loser and you deserve someone who’s terrified of losing you.

You deserve to remember what it feels like to be with someone who’s afraid of losing you, someone who does their best to make sure that you’ll always remain in their life because it would be incomplete without you.

You deserve to remember everything you knew about love before you fell in love with those who made you forget.

You deserve to remember that you were never the problem, that you’ve always been too much for the wrong ones.

You deserve to find someone who never gets enough of you and reminds you that there is no such thing as loving too much because they’re willing to love you just as much — and maybe more.

Mirrored Souls- A Twin Flame #Love Story #amwriting #Fiction

At first glance, the familiar recognition of mirrored souls was astounding as they stared deeply into each other eyes. Finally meeting at a resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica, they embraced and held on for a minute longer before ambling over to a tranquil area.

She touched his cheek softly and said how much this moment means to her; however, her lips hadn’t moved. Though, telepathically, he received her message and planted his lips upon hers.

Unhurriedly disconnecting to watch the waves of the blue-green ocean, they’re relieved to have finally given their healed heart another chance at love.

I do hope you enjoy this story as I had writing it. Thanks for reading.

This micofiction story was one I’ve written in 2017 for the César E Serrano Foundation competition. A couple of weeks ago I found out I didn’t won and yesterday I found out I didn’t made the finalist list either.
Although I am hurt by that, I am grateful to have taken a part in their foundation. It had really helped me. I once made a post last November about the International Day Of Words and about receiving a letter about being their ambassador and such.
