PressThis: You Deserve To Remember How It Feels To Be Loved #MondayBlogs

Good morning/afternoon/evening all! I hope everyone had enjoyed their weekend. If not, remember you are alive and that alone is a blessing and a beautiful thing.

If you are are not happy, and/or if someone is hurting you, using you, manipulating you, anything less than what you deserve, know that is not love. You deserve better than that mistreatment.

You should always know the difference between when someone loves you versus when they are using you, manipulating you, or what have you. Love can be a beautiful thing and NEVER to be confused with lust or control/manipulation.

If I had ever failed to tell you anything, remember this: to know love and receive it, one must be love. Love thyself first!

Now, on to the article! Below stated are the ways a person should received love. And one should know that he/she deserved to feel love. Imagine feeling this love from someone who loves you just as much or more than you love yourself. Set the bar high. Can they reach it? If so, you have a winner.

@edric

You deserve to wake up to beautiful messages every morning, messages that are heartfelt and genuine, messages that only someone who truly knows you can send and messages that let you know that you’re the first person on someone’s mind each and every day.

You deserve to be loved for who you are, with your flaws, with your quirks, with your imperfections and you deserve to be with someone who doesn’t make you afraid of being yourself, you deserve to be with someone who sees all the parts of you and chooses to love them and chooses to stay.

You deserve to remember how it feels to be loved and be truly cared for. You deserve to be with someone who makes you forget about every ignored message, every unanswered call and every person who couldn’t love you.

You deserve to remember everything you forgot about love, you deserve someone who doesn’t get tired of reminding you what you mean to them and what they’d do for you.

You deserve to have the love you always dreamed of, the kind of love that makes you want to be a better person, the kind of love that makes you happy and the kind of love that makes you feel safe because you got used to loving the ones who only introduced you to danger and heartbreak.

You deserve to remember how special you really are and always have been before you loved people who made you feel like you’re ordinary.

You deserve to fall in love with someone who doesn’t want to break your heart or play with it, you deserve someone who can remind you that love is not a game, that everyone who ever played you was the real loser and you deserve someone who’s terrified of losing you.

You deserve to remember what it feels like to be with someone who’s afraid of losing you, someone who does their best to make sure that you’ll always remain in their life because it would be incomplete without you.

You deserve to remember everything you knew about love before you fell in love with those who made you forget.

You deserve to remember that you were never the problem, that you’ve always been too much for the wrong ones.

You deserve to find someone who never gets enough of you and reminds you that there is no such thing as loving too much because they’re willing to love you just as much — and maybe more.

PressThis: In 2019, Let Love Change You

Start believing that you deserve so much more and that you deserve to be happy.

A lot of people say that pain changes people. Well, I can’t argue with that. But just so you know, love can be as powerful enough to change people too.

In 2019, don’t just learn but do love yourself. Start treating yourself better. Put everything that you learn in 2018 to action. Be kinder to yourself, because loving yourself starts from you and not from anyone else. Don’t let the negativities around and within you define you as a person. Believe in yourself more, because you can do it. God will strengthen you. Start believing that you deserve so much more and that you deserve to be happy.

In 2019, stop fixating yourself into something temporary. Stop lying to yourself that almost relationships can be worth a try or loving someone who ghosts you is worth the risk because they are not worth it. Instead of wasting your time and affection to those people, invest more to the people who have been there for you all this time. Because those people are the ones who should matter and they deserve to be valued. Be grateful for these people, because they are God’s blessings to you.

In 2019, put more effort into what matters you the most. Life is short to begin with, so stop procrastinating and start living your life to the fullest. Do what makes your heart and soul feel so light and easy. Put your passion into work and create something others can’t do. Don’t let the world dictate what you need to do and achieve by this time, it’s your life and only you can tell what you want and need. Just put your faith in Him and keep on doing you.

In 2019, let love do the work. Let yourself be free from all of the baggage you’ve been carrying all these years. Believe that you will heal from everything that keeps you from hurting too much. Forgive yourself from committing mistakes and failing countless times. Learn how to be softer to yourself and start loving your imperfections. Love yourself first before loving someone else, because how can you give love to others if you haven’t given it to yourself. Be the person who is capable of loving, because this world needs more people like you…

An Interview With My Main Character (Trenton) #MondayBlogs #amwriting #SecretsUnveil

(Reposted.)

Going back through my character development, here’s an interview I had with my male main character named Trenton Devereaux.

1. Tell us a little about yourself.

Hi lovelies, I’m Trenton Devereaux from Cherry Gardens in Jamaica. I’m 21-year-old, goes to college in Columbia, S.C., have an infant son, and I’m a no-nonsense type of person; so don’t come at me with the b.s. Just kidding.. but don’t.

Anything else?

Anything like what? Guh, you are so nosy. Well… I’m being a suspect in a murder case. They said twenty-so people was killed up the interstate in a warehouse; but I know nothing about that. (He shrugged nonchalantly, twisting his mouth.) Next question.

2. Okay, what is it that you love most about life?

Hmm, I love how well my son is doing. He’s five months old now, and my family is very supportive. God bless them. I love how my girlfriend and I came, uh… I mean, how far within a year’s time. We had drama, cheating, drugs, and negative people coming between us, yet we fought and fought and we’re still together.

3. That is great you two are still together. Which brings me to my next question: How do you decide if you can trust someone?

Ah, well, to me a person have to earn trust, just like they would with respect. I give every person a starting chance, unless I initially picked up bad vibes from them, just like I’ve done last year… anyway, I go by their actions to sum up if I can trust them or not.

4. What three words best describe your personality?

Strong, ambitious, and a risk-taker.

5. What are your greatest talents?

(Smiling.) Well then, since you asked, dancing for one. I love moving to the beats in dancehall music, ska and ska jazz. If you aren’t sure what ska is, look it up; I’ll be here all day just talking about it, or you can come to a dance club I know to show you what it’s like.

Hmm… other talents: singing, writing poetry, I can cook my ass off, la-dee-da, and the last is for my woman to know. LOL!

6. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would that be?

Not a damn thing.

7. What is your typical day like?

I start my day off by tending to my son, then I would meditate since I need it more than ever now. Some light yoga or a run, breakfast; depending on the day, school or work.

I also use my time to render aid in the community. It doesn’t matter how much money you have; you still need to do something; whether it’s through donation, raising money, or doing volunteer work. I use my free time to help others.

8. What are your greatest fears?

I fear losing someone close to me in any way, whether it’s death, to the law, or whatever; it would tear me apart.

9. What or who is the greatest love of your life?

You should know who, but I will say it, Paris is the greatest love of my life along with my son. She has been there through thick and thin, loves my son as her own, and had shown me what real love is. I’ll give her the world if I could. I’ll do anything I can for her.

10. When and where were you the most happiest?

(Smiling endearing) The happiest time of my life thus far is the birth of my son. Wow, T.J. makes my heart swells up with joy and makes me work harder every day to do right by him. He’s so precious, mon; even though his mom schemed into being pregnant with him, it doesn’t change how I feel about him like most guys would to a girl who trapped them. I love that kid so much. (Sniffling)

This concludes my interview with Trenton. I had more questions to asked, but his schedule was tight. Will there be a second interview for a more in-depth look into his life?- I’ll have to check with his people. (Wink)

P.S. I do have an interview with Miss Paris Thompson herself. She’s the female main character and Trent’s girlfriend. You can find her interview here.

I hope you enjoyed Trent’s interview and if you have any questions of your own you would like for me to ask, please feel free to ask in the comments.

Thank you and enjoy your day!

My Heart Will Always Belong To You #love #fiction

My heart is ready and prepares for tonight, but my mind is still cloudy from wondering if she still feels the same way about me, about us.

As I put on my black pants with no underwear on, I began to take a long drag of the ganja from the metal tray sitting on the night table, and allow the smoke to fill my lungs.

The night awaits me like a new found freedom, and I anticipated on seeing her since it feels like forever we last saw each other. I miss touching her soft skin, inhaling her rich inviting fragrance, and…and.. I need to pull myself together because they need me downstairs. I won’t wallow in distress. I just want her to love me the way I love her.

Once downstairs, I noted that everyone is becoming acquainted with one another. Laughter is lively and glasses are staying filled. They were all dressed in their costumes for the “What’s Your Fantasy” theme.

The host and hostess of the night, my best friends who are using my house for this occasion, are busying themselves doing what they normally do; keeping everyone entertained and satisfied.

Typhan noticed me and broke free of his wife, Vivian’s hand and hurried my way.

Hey man! How’s it going?” He said with a megawatt smile.

“What’s up? I’m good. You saw Tracee?”

“Yeah. She’s with a red-haired woman.” When he said that, I immediately looked around and saw five women with red hair, but no Tracee. What the hell? I muttered. I turned hastily to Ty and he utters a “good luck” and winks before heading back to Vivian who waves my way and kisses her husband. I didn’t bother waving back; they carried on without a care in the world, unashamedly.

After receiving a glass of vodka from a server, I interacted with several women and men who participated in various activities. Soft jazz music flowed throughout the house, women in leotards sashay and giggle as they pass me, and I’m distancing myself from the crowd in desperate need to search for Tracee.

Not so long as I began my search, I spotted her swaying her hips seductively to the music of Boney James with her eyes closed. She looked so beautiful and amazing as she continues to dance to the beats of drums and the saxophone, opening and closing her robe to tease us. The way she moved had all who were there in a trance, including me.

After her sensual dance, I move over to her, watching her as her eyes watch my every move. She knows I would be here, granted this is my home, and which had used to be hers. I could still her screams still vibrating off the walls when I go to sleep at night.

“Ryan, how have you been?” She said to me. She tried to force a smile but failed.

“I’m sure you know. What about you?”

“Been busy with work and just thinking about things.”

“Things like what?” I had to ask.

Tracee cocks her head, glances down at me, her eyes linger a little too long at my waistband, and said, “You still wanna prove how much you want me to be with you?”

I swallow; hearing those words almost made me regret once saying them. I nodded slowly and walked away. Okay, let’s do this your way. I gave her a flattering smile, trying to act like a lion, but inside I’m a scared kitten.

On a black chaise, I lay wearing only my pants and shoes waiting for her. My heart beat faster when the doorknob turns, and she enters like a goddess that she is in a black and red satin negligee with stilettos.

No words are needed at this point. Tracee arched an eyebrow and stood there with her left hand on her hip. She’s taking no prisoners. She demands an answer. People from her past had hurt her and/or gave false promises. I was no better. She feels I treated her unfairly and didn’t love her. I love her more than anything. I just want her to understand that I’m not used to expressing myself the way she wants.

“Ryan, I’m here and you haven’t said a word. You don’t tell me anything about how you feel about us. It’s like you don’t care.” I can hear the shakiness in her voice. It breaks my heart. Coming here, and telling me how it affected her had let me know all hope wasn’t lost.

“Darling, I love you. I would get on my knees. I would do anything for you. You have to understand how much you mean to me. There’s no one else who can make me feel the way you make me feel. My heart will always belongs to you.  I will spend the rest of my life proving to you how much I love, cherish, and will support you.” Unexpected teardrops fell and it shocked me because I’m not one to cry.

She reaches up and wipes the tears from my face and we embraced. “I love you too,” she moans against my lips. The intense, fiery  energy consumed us. Nothing else matters.

We peel off our clothes and staggered over to the chaise where we made love to each other mind, heart, soul, and body.

SongLyricSunday: A-Ha- Take On Me #SundayBlogs #music

Hi, everyone! I am back with another song this Sunday. Today’s theme is “take/taking” from Helen Vahdati’s blog. Today, I was going to go with a more romantic-type slow song.

Today’s song is one of my favorite song from the punk-rock era. I was born in the early 80s, and love all genres from that time.

This song always gets me up and dancing. And the video is, well, I’ve never seen anything like it. 😃 I hope you all like it.

Lyrics:

We’re talking away
I don’t know what
I’m to say I’ll say it anyway
Today’s another day to find you
Shying away
I’ll be coming for your love, okay?

Take on me, (take on me)
Take me on, (take on me)
I’ll be gone
In a day or two

So needless to say
I’m odds and ends
I’ll be stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is OK
Say after me
It’s no better to be safe than sorry

Take on me, (take on me)
Take me on, (take on me)
I’ll be gone
In a day or two

Oh the things that you say
Is it live or
Just to play my worries away
You’re all the things I’ve got to remember
You’re shying away
I’ll be coming for you anyway

Take on me, (take on me)
Take me on, (take on me)
I’ll be gone
In a day

(Take on me, take on me)
(Take me on, take on me)
I’ll be gone (take on me)
In a day
