SongLyricSunday- Beyoncé- Crazy In Love #music

Today’s theme, “madness” comes from Helen’s blog, This Thing Called Life On Word At a Time.

Have you ever been madly or crazy in love before?

This is the remix to the original, of course. I fell in love with the song over a decade ago when I thought it was “crazy” to go “madly” or crazy in love, but I know better now. Not necessarily crazy though. Ahem.

Though the feeling can really hit you with some…um… I’ll let you fill in the blanks. This version is more seductive and dark. I love the soundtrack more so than the movie. Wasn’t feeling it like that.

[Verse 1]

You got me looking, so crazy, my baby
I’m not myself, lately, I’m foolish, I don’t do this
I’ve been playing myself, baby I don’t care
Baby your love’s got the best of me, your love’s got the best of me
Baby your love’s got the best of me, maybe you’re making a fool of me
You got me sprung, but I don’t care who sees
Cause baby you got me, you got me, oh you got me, you got me…

[Verse 2]
I look and stare so deep in your eyes
I touch on you more and more every time
When you leave I’m begging you not to go
Call your name two or three times in a row
Such a funny thing for me to try to explain
How I’m feeling and my pride is the one to blame, eeh
I still don’t understand
Just how your love can do what no one else can

Got me looking so crazy right now
Your love’s got me looking so crazy right now
Got me looking so crazy right now
Your touch got me looking so crazy right now
(Your love) Got me hoping you’ll save me right now
Your kiss got me hoping you’ll save me right now (your love)
Looking so crazy in love
Got me looking, got me looking so crazy in lo-o-o-ve

SongLyricSunday- 11-12-17: “Apologize” #music

Today’s theme prompt is “apologize/sorry” hosted by Helen Vahdati.

I had fell in love with this song when it had came out in 2007. It reminded me of times when someone knew better than to do the things they shouldn’t do to hurt you; yet, they do it anyway. You’ll give them many chances just for them to screwed up again. They would try to apologize, but then, it’s too late.

This song is by Timbaland ft. OneRepublic- “Apologize.”

 I’m holding on your rope

Got me ten feet off the ground
And I’m hearing what you say
But I just can’t make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you’re sorry
Didn’t think I’d turn around, and say

It’s too late to apologize, it’s too late
I said it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late
It’s too late to apologize, it’s too late
I said it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late

[Verse 2]
I’d take another chance
Take a fall, take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
But that’s nothing new
I loved you with a fire red
Now it’s turning blue, and you say
Sorry like an angel
Heaven let me think was you, but I’m afraid

Continued from Part 1 here.

“You’re not going anywhere.” Kevin seethes tautly.

Tyra glared back with anger flickering in her deep eyes.

“Have you lost your ever-loving mind? Let go of me!” Tyra yells, snatching her pained arm away.

Kevin glared back before letting go of her arm. “Can you blame me?”

Tyra’s dark-brown eyes were downcast, yet she contemplated her plan of action just in case Kevin conjures up any brilliant ideas.

“Why would you lie to me? Do you not know how much I love you?” Kevin inquired, taking her by the hand.

Tyra sighs. What am I doing? I’m so stupid. Tyra gave a sidelong glance at the man she tried not to fall in love with. Who would ever think love can come in many ways?

“Kevin, I sincerely apologize. I didn’t mean to hurt you, but I have to go.” Tyra pleaded.

“Yeah, you said that but where to?” Kevin wondered. All of her plans were placed on hold until further notice; plans won’t resume unless he said they can.

“Well…I have to…to pick up my children from the babysitter,” Tyra stammers. Something wasn’t right; she can feel it deep inside.

“From Ms. Yates right?”

“Yes, her.”

Kevin thought for a moment, went over to his wallet and pulls out a photo. He ambles Tyra’s way and shows her the photo. “You mean this Ms. Yates?”

Tyra took a glance at the photo, took another glance and snatched it from his hands. She gasps.

“What the-?” Tyra stares and ponders. “Is this you- with Ms. Yates?” Kevin answered yes. “But that can’t-”

“Be? How can it not? That’s clearly me in the photo. Taken… let’s see… ten years ago,” Kevin answered. He watches the confused look Tyra kept making. She was in for a rude awakening.

“So, how did you two met? I clearly didn’t introduce you two,” Tyra replied, flipping the photo over in her hands.

Clearly you didn’t. The doctor introduced us when he placed me in her hands.”

“Your mother!” Tyra yells. She felt woozy. Here she was thinking she dropped a bomb on Kevin when it’s really on her.

“Yes, my mother. That day was a devastating day for her. I mean, what man can just leave his wife, a damn good woman I may add, for a younger woman. How?”

“I’m so sorry to hear that.” Tyra shook her head in bewilderment.

“You don’t sound sorry. And in fact, your husband isn’t getting out anytime soon-”

“Wait- how do you know that? I just told you that I am married. What makes you think he’s not?” Tyra was tired of talking about nonsense. She slapped a hand across her forehead, mentally tired. She just wants to collect her children and prepare for her husband’s arrival in a few days.

“I told you my father was on duty. He is alright, yet he won’t be coming out anytime soon. Charges after charges all because he couldn’t have stopped sleeping with that- that woman.

And had the nerve to leave my mother for her! No, he won’t be getting out,” Kevin rages; he was in a zone.

“Kevin! You’re talking in riddles! What the hell are you talking about?” Tyra shouted.

“What I’m talking about is that your husband, a Mr. Washington correct? is my father! He left my mother for you and for that he will NEVER get out of prison!”

“NO!!!” Tyra wails.

My Love, Here’s A Rose For You #Poem

Dear, you,

You are loved and loving,

Kind, generous with your time and attention, and special to me.

Your panoramic view of the world amazes me how you see the beauty in all things and people.

I want to spend the rest of my life showing you just how much you mean to me.

Your empathy for others, beautiful heart and soul, I adore you; I love you forever more.

Here’s a rose for you, dear.

Love Doesn’t Live Here Anymore #MondayBlogs #fiction

He turned to glare at her with the look of shock written across his face. Did she just say what I thought she said? He ponders the thought as carefully as he could. No way what she said could have been true. What the hell?!

“Um, what did you just said?” He asked calmly. The last thing he needed is to jump to any conclusions.

She sighs audibly. “I said we can’t do this anymore.” She spoke the words as if she’s talking about the weather.

“What? Why? Have I done anything-”

“No darling.” She interrupts to say, “Um…” She twiddled her thumbs, eyes downcast, avoiding looking at him now after what they just shared. The sheer nakedness he possessed was too much at the moment. She sighs inward.

“Tyra, look at me baby,” he waited until she did just that, and pleaded, “tell me what’s going on?  What are you talking about?” He searched her dark brown eyes for answers and found none.

“Kevin, I’m sorry, but I’m married.” She confessed with no remorse.

Kevin frowned slightly then laughs. “Yeah, good one Ty! Haha!” He tumbled over on the king-sized bed, his bed, into fits of laughter.

“No. Kevin, it’s true I am. I’ve been meaning to tell you this,” sympathy now shadows her eyes. Tyra couldn’t go on with him this way, her husband is getting out of prison early for good behavior after being in for five years.

Tyra watches as Kevin paced the room like a tiger ready to pounce on its prey. She didn’t want to break his heart, but her fun is over.

“You aren’t married. There’s no way.” He glanced over at his nightstand that held a box, a special black and gold box. “You’re just buying time, is all.” He shook his head bewildered by her.

“Kevin, can’t you see? I am. I’m very much married. I’m not that single mom with two kids you thought I was. I didn’t mean to hurt you,” Tyra stammered, hastily throwing on her clothes.

“Seriously? It’s all about you, isn’t it? And what do you mean you didn’t mean to hurt me? Huh?” Kevin bellowed. It’s was no joke like he once thought. She’s telling the truth, but now? Why? He batted away the burning tears wanting to fall. He won’t give her the pleasure of seeing the fallen tears.

“You played me! You seduced me. Said that you love me and that we will be a family. You spoke those words! You! And now you telling me you’re f**king married!”

They stared. Angry hazel eyes glaring back at unbothered deep browns. Moments went by that Tyra snatched up her red pumps announcing she was leaving.

Tyra scurried to the door but not before her arm being snatched away from the doorknob.

“You’re not going anywhere.” Kevin seethes tautly.
