Would You Like A Daily Reminder? #Poetry

(Scheduled post.)

Good morning/afternoon! I hope you all are well and being safe. With what’s happening with this #covid19 #coronavirus pandemic, I hope that everyone is doing what they can to stay safe and to take precautions; and as I will do the same. One thing though, as I take this pandemic serious and pray for those affected, I am working on not allowing myself to get into the mass hysteria because…well, because I won’t since it will not help any. I need not say more on this because it gives me a headache after seeing memes about it and what people including the political and healthcare officials have to say about it. Hmm.

Below is a poem I would like to share from another writer whose poetry I had came upon on a website. It’s uplifting and filled with positivity. I hope it can help someone. Be strong. Be safe. And do what you can however you can. Do not stress yourself about any of what’s happening since in my country, the United States, it is also election year. 🤔 (I’ll stay quiet on this before I vent.)

Take care. Much love,

Pamela.

This Is A Daily Reminder

By: Nicolette- March 2015

This is a daily reminder
To relax,
To not get angry over small things,
To stay calm.

This is a daily reminder
To be yourself,
To not care what people think,
To know you can be anything.

This is a daily reminder
To love yourself,
To not hurt yourself,
To not work yourself up.

This is a daily reminder
That you are beautiful,
That you are amazing,
That you will succeed.

This is a daily reminder
To always have hope,
To have faith,
To know everything will be okay.

This is a daily reminder
That you have made it so far already,
That you haven’t given up,
That whatever you’re doing is right,
And that you are going to be amazing.

Don’t give up.
Keep holding on and believing.

Mirrored Souls- A Twin Flame #Love Story #amwriting #Fiction

At first glance, the familiar recognition of mirrored souls was astounding as they stared deeply into each other eyes. Finally meeting at a resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica, they embraced and held on for a minute longer before ambling over to a tranquil area.

She touched his cheek softly and said how much this moment means to her; however, her lips hadn’t moved. Though, telepathically, he received her message and planted his lips upon hers.

Unhurriedly disconnecting to watch the waves of the blue-green ocean, they’re relieved to have finally given their healed heart another chance at love.

I do hope you enjoy this story as I had writing it. Thanks for reading.

This micofiction story was one I’ve written in 2017 for the César E Serrano Foundation competition. A couple of weeks ago I found out I didn’t won and yesterday I found out I didn’t made the finalist list either.
Although I am hurt by that, I am grateful to have taken a part in their foundation. It had really helped me. I once made a post last November about the International Day Of Words and about receiving a letter about being their ambassador and such.

What Are You Thankful For? #HappyThanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it! I hope everyone enjoy this day, and spend it with those you love. Please be safe.

One thing I want to ask you all whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or not, what are you thankful for?

I am thankful for having God in my life, my family, (my mom, daughter, and siblings) being blessed, and you all.

Thanksgiving is here, so our minds have turned

To what time has taught us, to what we’ve learned:We often focus all our thought
On shiny things we’ve shopped and bought.
We take our pleasure in material things,
Forgetting the pleasure that friendship brings.
If a lot of our stuff just vanished today,
We’d see the foundation of each happy day
Is special relationships, constant and true,
And that’s when our thoughts go directly to you.
We wish you a Thanksgiving you’ll never forget,
Full of love and joy—your best one yet!

A Dedication To My Father- Rest In Peace

pixabay.com

It has been 15 years since my father had passed away, and it took over half of that to get over his death. He was my best friend but Dad first. He was a protector, wise, and generous. He listens and always seemed to know the right words to say. I know he would’ve wanted me to move on and to live my life the best as I can. I now have someone to live for, my precious nine-year old daughter.

(I am doing much better now. I’m healing and not blaming God for taking such a beautiful and wonderful person away from me. I am doing more with my life and not giving up on myself nor life. I am at peace.)

Take time out for you. Find that special place that gives you that blissful moment. Time heals itself. Take all the time you need, no one expects you to overcome your grievance in a day or two. You are human and no one should rush themselves. Go back to that happy place that lifts up your spirit. Keep precious memories alive.

I dedicate this post to my loving, dear father, Andrell James.
I love you. 🌹

The Expression of Our Love #Poetry

pixabay.com

I will continue to express my love for you in many ways possible.

With words unspoken from our lips, the language of love is told with our eyes, touch, and spirit.

I can feel the soft caresses of your fingertips grazing my delicate, cinnamon skin as if you’re paying tribute to every inch of my body.

Your love is electrifying, true, and needed.

I will dedicate my life in proving how much I love you, as you love me.

A love that is selfless and real.

An unconditional love that is swarming around us with throes of passion, warmth, and energy.
