April Writing Challenge- Day 22: My First 10 Songs On Shuffle

It’s no secret that I love music, and I mean extremely love it. I’m sure a lot of other music do too, probably just as much or more. There have been times when I would put together a playlist on my own, or without my help, Youtube or some other music streaming app would do it for me. Having songs shuffled save me from having to look for them, especially if they are songs I love hearing on repeat.

Today’s writing challenge is about putting my music on shuffle and post the first ten songs. The thing is about this is that I have done this already some time before just randomly listening to music. I like putting categorize music like for instance: Slow R&B, 80’s Rock, Reggae, and so on. I have a thing of having everything organize, and doing this with music helps as well. Though, I believe I can only list one group.

Disclaimer: The embedded Youtube videos are not my own and I don’t own any rights to them.  You can feel free to listen/watch the songs in Youtube by clicking on the image and it will take you there, or however you wish. Thank you.

(The playlist can be view by clicking the horizontal three lines in the upper right corner to view the playlist in its entirety. You will then be able to listen to the songs listed below that were shuffled. And the songs changes up in the playlist.)

My List of Shuffled Songs That Is One Of My Favorites.

  1. Shanice- It’s For You
  2. Zhane- Sending My Life
  3. Marsha Ambrosius- Far Away
  4. Ralph Tresvant- Sensitivity
  5. Raphael Saadiq ft. Q-Tip- Get Involved
  6. Brownstone- If You Love Me
  7. Shanice- I Love Your Smile
  8. Michael Jackson- Butterflies
  9. Portrait- Here We Go Again
  10. Kris Kross- Jump

Have you heard any of these songs before? And what songs do you like listening to on shuffle?

I hope you all enjoy your day and remember to be safe out there and stay bless.

Stay tuned for Day 23.

April Writing Challenge- Day 7- The 10 Songs I’m Loving Right Now

I am loving what today’s challenge is all about. Have you ever listen to a song and you was so enthralled that you had to play it over and over? I am sure it had at some time or another, maybe many songs, and it/they moved you. Songs make you feel happy, sad, angry, sexy, you name it. Songs may even help us get through some trying times in our lives. On my birthday last Friday, I used the power of music to help me to get over the fact of being in the house and to get over my boredom. It have really helped me, and still do.

Today I am to list 10 songs I am loving right now. I find it kind of hard because 10 is simply not enough, but I suppose it will do. I decided to choose songs from different times and genres and I hope you all enjoy. (Side note: I took the liberty of adding Youtube videos to each song.)

Disclaimer: I don’t owned the rights to these videos or songs.

1.  Bill Withers- Lean On Me – 1972  (He died last week. Rest in peace.)

2. Backstreet Boys- Show Me The Reason of Being Lonely– 1999

(This song is dedicated to my dad who passed away back in 2003. Rest in peace.)

3. Micheal Jackson & Various Artists – We Are The World – 1985

4. Jill Scott – A Long Walk – 2000

5.  Sean Kingston- Fire Burning – 2009

6. Whitesnake- Is This Love – 1987

7. Skrillex & Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley- Make It Bun Dem – 2012

8. Elvis Presley- Can’t Help Falling In Love – 1961

I came across this song for the first time watching a horror movie- The Conjuring 2 a few years again, and ever since then I fell in love. I had also been hearing this constantly out of the blue everywhere I go.

9. Madonna – Don’t Tell Me – 2000

10. Tupac Shakur feat. Talent- Changes– 1998

Bonus: Coldplay- Paradise – 2011

These songs are songs that I have listened to repeatedly as my go-to song, my feel good song, and songs that puts me in the mood to dance, feel, and to think about the things that has happened, is happening, and most likely will happen. Thank you for reading and I hope you like my list. Please do listen and/or view the videos if you like. Thanks again, and stay tuned for Day 8.

Stay safe and well. I wish you all the best. Take care.

SongLyricSunday: A-Ha- Take On Me #SundayBlogs #music

Hi, everyone! I am back with another song this Sunday. Today’s theme is “take/taking” from Helen Vahdati’s blog. Today, I was going to go with a more romantic-type slow song.

Today’s song is one of my favorite song from the punk-rock era. I was born in the early 80s, and love all genres from that time.

This song always gets me up and dancing. And the video is, well, I’ve never seen anything like it. 😃 I hope you all like it.

Lyrics:

We’re talking away
I don’t know what
I’m to say I’ll say it anyway
Today’s another day to find you
Shying away
I’ll be coming for your love, okay?

Take on me, (take on me)
Take me on, (take on me)
I’ll be gone
In a day or two

So needless to say
I’m odds and ends
I’ll be stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is OK
Say after me
It’s no better to be safe than sorry

Take on me, (take on me)
Take me on, (take on me)
I’ll be gone
In a day or two

Oh the things that you say
Is it live or
Just to play my worries away
You’re all the things I’ve got to remember
You’re shying away
I’ll be coming for you anyway

Take on me, (take on me)
Take me on, (take on me)
I’ll be gone
In a day

(Take on me, take on me)
(Take me on, take on me)
I’ll be gone (take on me)
In a day

SongLyricSunday: K-Ci and Jojo- All My Life

Today’s post is a beautiful one with the theme, “find/found.” If you haven’t followed and/or participated and would like to, head on over to Helen’s blog, This Thing Called Life.

People searched all their life for love, or whatever else they desire in life. Sometimes, they’ll find what they are looking for, and sometimes not. I hope that what you want in life, you’ll get.

Lyrics:

I will never find another lover sweeter than you
Sweeter than you
And I will never find another lover more precious than you
More precious than you
Girl you are close to me you’re like my mother
Close to me you’re like my father
Close to me you’re like my sister
Close to me you’re like my brother
You are the only one you are my everything and for you this song I sing

And all my life I’ve prayed for someone like you
And I thank God that I, that I finally found you
All my life I’ve prayed for someone like you
And I hope that you feel the same way too
Yes, I pray that you do love me too

I said you’re all that I’m thinking of, baby

Said, I promise to never fall in love with a stranger
You’re all I’m thinking of, I praise the Lord above
For sending me your love, I cherish every hug
I really love you

And all my life, baby, baby, I’ve prayed for someone like you
And I thank God that I, that I finally found you, baby
All my life I’ve prayed for someone like you
And I hope that you feel the same way too
Yes, I pray that you do, love me

You’re all that I ever known, when you smile, on my face, all I see is a glow
You turned my life around, you picked me up when I was down
You’re all that I ever known, when you smile on your face all I see is a glow
You picked me up when I was down
You’re all that I ever known, when you smile on your face all I see is a glow
You picked me up when I was down and I hope that you feel the same way too
Yes I pray that you do love me too

SongLyricSunday: Selena- Dreaming Of You #music #love

I know, I know, I haven’t done this a while, but today, I would like to share with you all one of my favorite Latin singer, Selena. The song below was released after the death of the singer.

For Helen Vahdati theme post today is “sleep“. It’s one of those times when before you go to sleep, your mind takes you back to the events of the day. However, most times, it will take you back down memory lane of a love you hold true to your heart until you meet with them again.

In this particular video, the girl wasn’t laying down preparing to go to sleep. She was in her bedroom thinking of her love until he came along to swooped her up. It’s a beautiful song.

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
Late at night when all the world is sleeping
I stay up and think of you
And I wish on a star that somewhere you are
Thinking of me too

[Chorus]
‘Cause I’m dreaming of you tonight
‘Till tomorrow, I’ll be holding you tight
And there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be
Than here in my room dreaming about you and me

[Verse 2]
Wonder if you ever see me (see me)
And I wonder if you know I’m there (am I there? Am I?)
If you looked in my eyes, would you see what’s inside?
Would you even care?
I just wanna hold you close, but so far
All I have are dreams of you
So I wait for the day and the courage to say
How much I love you, yes I do!

[Chorus]
I’ll be dreaming of you tonight
‘Till tomorrow, I’ll be holding you tight
And there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be
Than here in my room dreaming about you and me

[Bridge]
(Corazón)
I can’t stop dreaming of you
(No puedo dejar de pensar en ti)
I can’t stop dreaming
(Cómo te necesito)
I can’t stop dreaming of you
(Mi amor, cómo te extraño)

[Verse 3]
Late at night when all the world is sleeping
I stay up and think of you
And I still can’t believe that you came up to me
And said, “I love you”
I love you too!

[Chorus 3]
Now I’m dreaming with you tonight
‘Till tomorrow and for all of my life
And there’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be
Than here in my room dreaming with you endlessly
With you tonight
And there’s nowhere in the world where I’d rather be
Than here in my room, I’ll be dreaming
With you tonight
