April Writing Challenge- Day 26: An Area In My Life I Would Like To Improve

Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay

The thing about life is we all got something coming and going, and something we want to improve on. The #writing challenge today is about an area in my life I want to improve. There are so many areas I would like to work on, though one in particular is work/financial because as of lately I haven’t found anything stable and long-term. This has been the issue for me for a while now especially coming out of being unemployed for years. For the last several months, jobs seem to come and go, and there was always some type of problem.

I want to improve in this area so I can make sure I have a stable job (not counting the side job) and a steady income coming in. I want to be and remain financially independent and not have to worry about food, bills paid, etc. I am glad I was able to contribute to charities and programs near and far, but I am constantly working on in attempts of trying to better myself  in the work/finance area.

I know the challenge said to choose an area, but there is another major area I want to improve and that is my health. I know it’s no excuse, but there are days I don’t feel like exercising. Doing yoga isn’t the same as exercising I’ve heard, but I had taken it in baby steps when it comes to exercise. A year and a half ago, I would walk nearly ten miles in the morning for five days every week until I stopped in the fourth month. I was getting frustrated with walking, doing sit-ups, and other exercises I attempted to do just to find out I only lost inches and maybe two pounds if that.

Still, it’s an area I NEED to improve because from battling migraines and high blood pressure, it’s a must. When I told my doctor how could I have HBP when I don’t eat much sodium to have that, she looked into other areas of what could be a problem. I had to cut out processed food, pizzas and such. But the main reason is stress. I don’t know when exactly my blood pressure became high that I have to be put on medication, but all I know is that since meeting my child’s father and raising her, my stress levels was so high that I was rushed to the emergency room. That were back in 2013, but as the years went by, I went from taking two different types of HBP pills with one I was taken twice a day, and the other was taken three times a day along with prescription pain med for migraines which was taken once a day. Now I only take one type of HBP pills twice a day. I still have migraines and I am working on my stress levels.

It’s a serious thing that you can eat right and exercise, but you have to remember that stress is a major factor as well. When I lost a lot of inches of my hair three years ago, I cried so much because I had just got it back growing. I can remember looking in the mirror brushing my hair in 2017 and smiling how long my hair was growing. It was reaching the middle of my back and I was relieved. Then one thing after another kept happening that by the time I was trying to deal with one thing, something else was happening. I was having panic attacks and then half-way through the year, I screamed when my hair went from middle back to at my ears. Since then, my hair is growing but not at the length it was before.

I have learned that I have to put my health first and to get rid of any unnecessary stress and toxic people and situations in my life. It is true that if you don’t have your health, then you don’t have much of anything at all. I had to learn that my health comes first. Not people and problems.

You see, my health and finances are the two major areas I need and must improve, and in that order. I have to do what makes me happy and understand that if there is something or someone who is bringing me down and toxic, then they must be drop. I have to do this for myself and to keep going on.

With everything I plan on improving, I constantly think about being successful at because I had things to fail that I become almost obsessed with being successful what I do. I have gotten started on working toward these improvements, and I have ways to go.

What areas in your life would you like to improve?

Thank you for reading.

Stay tuned for Day 27.

April Writing Challenge- Day 8: What I Am Struggling With #writingchallenge

The challenge for today is hard because it pushes me to share what I am struggling with. Over the years, I have always struggled with being who I am. But, that’s a subject for another day, because I don’t want to get emotional and stretch it out too long.

When I looked at what the challenge is for Day 8 on Day 6, I was feeling okay and said to myself this won’t be fine. Now, as I am typing this, I been feeling not so okay. From constantly getting headaches off and on, to feeling that sense of dread, I am beginning to feel a bit blah, emotionless, or something.

Well, for starters, I struggle with a lot but I won’t mention them all. What I struggle with other than my identity is something physical. I been getting headaches off and on for a few years now that went from I can get through this to feeling nauseated. I thought after getting my wisdom teeth pulled I would be fine. No, it has gotten worse. On two occasions my doctor done a referral to the hospital for me to get MRI, it keep getting denied by my insurance company because my doctor didn’t sent over all the necessary paperwork. Twice?! I had to keep going back and forth between them, and now with this coronavirus, it will be some weeks before I can go back to my doctor.

The agony of going through these headaches is no joke and I can’t wait to being able to go back and try again to see what is going on. Doctors are nerve-wracking to me, and when mines mentioned back in November about maybe there could be a tumor sitting on a nerve to my eye(s), I wanted to flip out. Other than the headaches, my eyes get these pains that make me feel like it won’t ever go away. I am and have been working on meditating and just plain on trying to do something to help relieve the pains other than just taking pills.

But, enough about that. The other thing I struggle with is anxiety. I used to have deep depression and I believe sometimes it is always around the corner for me. My previous doctor used to prescribed pills and then I was taken off because I didn’t like how it made me feel. I would be way too happy at one point and then an emotionless human being. At times I would be in a daze and it took some time for me to snapped out of it. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much of a support team outside of the cyber world then.

Now, I am coping with my anxiety. Over the years, I had started drawing away from people a lot more now. Well, most of the people I have drawn away from is for a reason. Some people are hard to deal with and they triggered some things in me. If it’s hard for me to myself around someone, then why be around them. It had taken me a while to work on myself, finding myself, and getting to this point, anxiety and all.

This post had taken me some time to write because it had indeed brought up some memories and emotions in me. Though I have been scheduling these posts, this one had starting writing yesterday, went to sleep, woke up the next day to finish writing. In a near future post, I may have to come back to this to elaborate more about my anxiety. And, my stress that I didn’t want to write about because yesterday I was no doing okay while trying to write, and this morning, I want to be brief and not make this too long-winded.

I hope you all are doing okay and staying safe. Is there something you struggle with you would like to share? Let us know in the comments.

Stay tuned for Day 9.

Several Ways to Cleanse and Protect Your Energy

We come and go about our day everyday and oftentimes we may pick up on negative and toxic energies. It may be from what we consume, the people we’re around, products we use, etc.

The above photo shows ways you can cleanse and protect your energy. Of course, if there are people that are negative/toxic to you, do what you can to protect yourself if possible or not be around that individual. And, as far as the food that is making you not feel “right” in your body…and soul, you can stop eating those foods. The same thing applies to what you drink as well.

Ways to Cleanse your energy:

  1. Have a clean and colorful diet.
  2. Do a detox and parasite cleanse.
  3. Sea salt body scrub
  4. Epson bath/ Foot bath
  5. Visualize a shielding white light surrounding you.
  6. Listening to healing and cleansing sounds. (Rife, Solfeggio, 432hz, 528hz) You can find videos like these on YouTube.
  7. Take a shower.

Ways to Protect Your Energy:

  1. Use essential oils (There are oils being sold on Amazon that you can buy. Choose the one(s) that best for you by what it can do. You can use it/them while anointing yourself and meditating.
  2. Balance the chakras. (I made a post on this that you can check out here.
  3. Use protection crystals. (Amethyst, Fluorite, Black Tourmaline, Jasper, and Labradorite)
  4. Meditation. (You can also try Reiki healing.)
  5. Smudging with herbs. (White Sage, Palo Santo, Yerba Santa, Cedar.)
  6. Earthing. (Walking barefoot.)

I hope this helps you. If there’s anything else you do to cleanse and protect your energy that aren’t listed, please let us know in the comments.

The Benefits Of Reiki Healing #Spirituality #Wellness

Have anyone ever heard of Reiki?

What is Reiki exactly?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

—From: reiki.org

From what I’ve learned, Reiki is made up of two words with “rei” meaning “Higher Power,” and “ki” means “life force energy.”

Recently, I had took the liberty of using Reiki healing while I meditate on Youtube; oftentimes, I would just lay down and listen to the music and feel a light of energy flowing through me. It’s a pleasant feeling. The channel I frequented is called Divine White Light. Do go check it out and/or check out others that may interest you.

Reiki is used for:

  1. To relax and strengthen well-being.
  2. To balance mind, body, and soul.
  3. Chakra healing.
  4. To release stress & doubt.
  5. Negative energy clearing.
  6. For emotional and physical well-being.
  7. For personal development.
  8. For attraction and manifestation.
  9. For spiritual awakening.

…. The list goes on,

So whatever it is you want to use Reiki healing for in your life, be open and receptive to receive the abundance as it flows into your life.

It also helps to visualize and say affirmations while listening to the beautiful music, and practice this as often as you can, working towards what you hope to gain in life.

I can go on and on, but I will leave this by saying, although the healing for physical well-being CANNOT replace a doctor, Reiki healing still helps. I have suffered from mental health issues and high blood pressure; I am getting more into meditation and other spiritual practice has help me tremendously.

I hope this helps anyone. May your day be filled with love, light, and support. God bless. 🙏💛💙💚❤💜
