Take Care Of Yourself First #Quote

(Late post. Unedited.)

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! I hope you all are doing well.

The above quote is a problem I used to have, and still do just not as bad as before. I’m getting better.

No matter how bad you want to help or do something for a person, you have to first make sure you have taken care of yourself first.

Please do take care of your mental and physical health. I’ve learned the hard way. Now I’m dealing with my doctor (gyno) won’t give my health insurance a prior authorization needed to get a mammogram since I’m under age. There’s nothing she can do, she told me.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, I’ve been experiencing severe pelvic pain for awhile that I knew better not to ignore. When she had done an ultrasound, she found small fibroids. Again, nothing she can do about it, because they are small and I just have to hope they don’t get worse.

Long story short, I’m trying to go back to the doctor I had when I was pregnant with my daughter. I’m told that my last doctor will have to send them a referral since given my type of insurance, I have to since I’m not pregnant now. They got me going back and forth between the two.

Also, I lost weight, not much but it’s something so far. I’m still eating right and exercising. I can’t stay away from my sweets though.

I believe I have jump off topic, but I just wanted to share with you all that it’s okay to help others in any way you can, BUT, take care of yourself first and foremost.

Take care,

Pamela.

What do you do to take care of yourself, mentally, physically, etc?

  1. Well done with the weight loss. I don’t get the thought that a doctor would advice a patient to hope the fibriods don’t get bigger or worse instead of dealing with them right away? Health insurance in the US needs to be sorted out for the sake of peoples’ lives.

  2. Self-care is so important and yet so difficult for me to remember. You’re not alone. I always remember the warnings received when flying anywhere…if the oxygen mask is deployed, put it on yourself first, then help others. I’m going to hold a vision for you, one of health and wholeness. Many blessings, KK
